Ant season

It's the beginning of spring. We see the buds on the trees, the flowers coming up in our yards, and ants entering in the familiar places in our homes.
We have battled ants before. But, I didn't want to do the pesticide route nor did I want to purchase ant traps again.

I found a recipe that called for Borax and jelly. Basically you use equal parts. 1 teaspoon of Borax and 1 scant teaspoon of Borax. It said to place it on a piece of cardboard or a paper plate because when it dries, it will be very hard to clean off. You can buy Borax at Walmart in the laundry section. My box was under $4.00.

I had nothing to lose. I had some moldy jelly and the Borax. I mixed it up, put it on a small piece of cardboard, and set it on the counter.

IT WORKS!!!

I have a bunch that are already dead and still more are coming.

We have several points where the ants come in, I'm going to try it in other places as well. I would caution placing this mixture where other animals can get it. I'm not sure about the toxicity to other animals.
